As of August 2002 Marconi Hockey club followed the move of its ladies section to become Jaguar Hockey Club.

The original club was founded in 1924, a section of the GPT sports and social club based at Allard Way in Coventry. The name of the club changed twice in the last 6 years to reflect the evolution of the founding company, becoming GEC and eventually Marconi Hockey Club.

The club has always been recognised as a strongly social group, this is exemplified by the low subscription & match fees which aims to provide affordable hockey. The club also has a touring side called Zulus which has been entering Festivals and Tournaments for 40 years.
